About The Position

The Senior Manager, Finance Analytics will serve as a strategic thought partner to Finance and key operational leaders across Merchandising, Marketing, IT, and other enterprise functions. This role is responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights, driving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making at both the tactical and strategic levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in an analytics, finance analytics, or business intelligence role, with demonstrated cross-functional partnership.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, performance drivers, and operational KPIs in a retail or consumer-oriented environment.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled analytics tools or advanced analytical techniques to real-world business problems.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, predictive modeling, or AI-assisted analytics workflows (hands-on development not required, but strong working knowledge preferred).
  • Advanced data manipulation skills, including the ability to create in PowerBI, write and work with SQL, as well as other coding languages as needed.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute complex analytical and research initiatives end-to-end.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree (MBA, MS in Analytics, Data Science, or similar).
  • Experience supporting merchandising, marketing analytics, or technology-enabled business transformations.
  • Background in building scalable reporting, self-service analytics, or enterprise BI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day insights and big-picture analysis supporting merchandising, marketing, IT, and other operational and financial teams.
  • Lead complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, synthesizing large data sets into clear, executive-ready narratives.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and recurring reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and machine learning techniques (e.g., predictive analytics, anomaly detection, pattern recognition) to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to evaluate, pilot, and scale AI-driven analytics solutions, including generative AI for reporting, insights synthesis, and executive storytelling.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and executive audiences.
  • Support financial statement analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to retail or similar industries.
  • Take initiative to improve analytical frameworks, reporting cadence, and decision-support tools across the organization.
