The Sr. Manager - Operations Innovation will work on high priority initiatives, critical to the success of the enterprise. Topics will likely include: Large-scale operating model changes to drive efficiencies and adapt to healthcare reform Cross functional collaboration and project management on large-scale business transformation and/or business process re-engineering projects Introduction and incubation of disruptive technologies Operationalization of growth strategies across Kidney Care, International, and DaVita Strategic Business Units Integrated care business model development Business unit-specific operations strategy The Sr. Manager will lead a team of highly motivated individuals with backgrounds ranging from management consulting to project management to healthcare delivery, and is expected to effectively manage work streams with dependencies on many different business units and communicate recommendations to senior executives. Essential skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Demonstrates first-principles thinking in analyzing problems and engaging with teammates Leverages hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate and quantify opportunities Draws upon continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six-Sigma) to structure and incubate improvement opportunities Builds and reviews complex models and conducts financial planning and analyses to assess impact on business metrics Distills complex business problems into cohesive, impactful stories; builds appropriate horizontal and vertical logic in presentations. Presents comfortably and compellingly to senior audiences Successfully manages relationships with senior business leaders and influences diverse group of stakeholders through effective communication and strong interpersonal skills Works closely with teammates in the clinics and develops long-standing relationships with operators and clinicians Allocates team resources to ensure all timelines and deliverables are met Creates and manages project plans that drive accountability for complex, cross-functional initiatives Embodies DaVita core values Up to 50% travel may be required at times; though typical travel is 5-10% A typical candidate has the following minimum qualifications: Experience leading large-scale business transformation teams from concept through implementation with tangible impact on operating/financial performance 5-10 years of total work experience in progressive roles MBA from a top-tier business school or graduate degree in a healthcare related field (MD, MPH, MHA) preferred Healthcare background preferred IT change management experience preferred What We’ll Provide: More than just pay, our DaVita Rewards package connects teammates to what matters most. Requirements
