The role of Senior Manager of ERP Materials Management necessitates a sophisticated mix of skills, knowledge, and leadership to ensure compliant, accurate and efficient flow of material through the supply chain. The individual must have expertise in materials planning, SAP materials management system capabilities and engineering system integration. This position requires an ability to lead teams, communicate effectively across functions and challenge the status quo. Attention to employee growth and development is essential in this position to create future leaders who will execute our mission to ensure customer confidence and a competitive advantage. This leader is responsible for driving the Material Master Team to ensure integrity in the creation of material masters and the numerous data elements that set the foundation for customer fulfillment. This role requires an effective leader, collaborator with strong character to ensure a compliant and consistent application across all Raytheon portfolios. A deep understanding of SAP materials management material master module, planning factor impacts and impacts to the entire supply chain is critical. In addition to the following, this position demands excellent communication skills, as collaboration with colleagues from other functions is essential.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in broad Supply Chain/Materials planning, Business process or Systems experience and 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems, especially SAPP, and working with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, as well as other DB applications and reporting tools.
  • Experience working effectively with others through communication, presentation, and negotiation, using analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent facilitating and communicating at all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead a large group of planning professionals
  • Have a deep understanding of Material Master, BOM and Production Planning Process integration
  • Communicate consistently with team, flow down information, and provide performance feedback to develop team members for future roles or assignments
  • Manage and monitor all Material Master functions
  • Monitor performance metrics and intervene as required to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify, drive and lead continuous improvement projects (e.g. CORE, Six Sigma).
