Department OverviewThe Senior Manager, Engineering – Conversational Commerce Menu Data Integrations leads the strategy, governance, and stewardship of menu data across all digital and restaurant channels. This role is responsible for ensuring menu data is accurate, consistent, compliant, and optimized for seamless customer and crew experiences at scale. The leader will drive enterprise-wide menu data standards, oversee integration and change management processes, and partner with business, product, and technology teams to enable innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, platform engineering, or menu management, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • 5+ years leading teams responsible for data stewardship, integration, or governance in large-scale environments.
  • Solid experience with menu data management, integration, and compliance in QSR, retail, or digital platforms.
  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with menu data standards, enterprise data governance frameworks, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with digital ordering, POS, and menu integration platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing or commercial teams to drive menu innovation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for menu data structure, quality, and lifecycle management, with a special focus on enabling AI-driven ordering and personalization
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of processes to identify, standardize, and evolve menu structures that are optimized for AI/LLM consumption across all markets.
  • Oversee the integration, validation, and synchronization of menu data across all platforms (POS, digital, drive thru, kiosks, mobile, web, and emerging channels).
  • Ensure menu data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and brand requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of robust menu data change management processes, including version control, audit trails, and approval workflows.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., External AI Partners, Channel Menu, Architecture, Operations) to align on menu data requirements, enhancements, and best practices.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams within each market to find opportunities for menu innovation and to evolve menu data processes that meet the unique needs of AI-powered ordering and customer engagement.
  • Facilitate workshops and feedback loops with market stakeholders to ensure menu structures are both locally relevant and globally consistent for AI applications.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, leveraging insights from Marketing and market teams to refine menu governance processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for menu data governance, integration, and support processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize menu data flows, reduce errors, and accelerate time-to-market for menu changes.
  • Monitor and report on menu data quality metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ensure menu data governance processes adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard menu data integrity and confidentiality.
