As the Sr. Manager EHS at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the outstanding opportunity to build and compose the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies.   • Establish and maintain policies, practices, and procedures to ensure EHS compliance.
  • Develop and support the site's EHS Management System.
  • Lead the Workers Compensation Program.
  • Manage the Intelex database system for injury reporting and OSHA logs.
  • Conduct investigations of accidents and near-miss incidents.
  • Analyze accident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely completion of routine environmental reports and inspections.
  • Conduct compliance audits and assessments.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.
  • Serve as a technical resource in areas of EHS compliance and risk management.
  • Lead the site EHS team and report on metrics and performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in EHS or risk management.
  • Effective leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, database management, and electronic communication methods.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in the relevant field and/or professional certifications (CHMM, CEP, CSP, CIH).
  • LEAN Manufacturing experience.
