Department OverviewAs a Sr Manager, Data Engineering in the Customer Domain, you will lead engineering teams building robust and reliable data pipelines that support operational insights, analytics, and meaningful interactions with our Customers. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic alignment and people development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of data engineering experience, with 2+ years in people leadership roles.
- Expertise in GCP services (BigQuery, Pub/Sub), Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Strong grasp of data modeling, cloud architecture, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams and deliver in a product-centric environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, workforce analytics, or enterprise POS systems.
- Familiarity with Terraform, GitOps, or Kubernetes-based data deployments.
- Experience working in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and delivery of large-scale, cloud-native data engineering solutions.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on performance, reusability, and automation.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Drive technical roadmap development and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Ensure all systems meet data governance, quality, and compliance standards.
- Support operational excellence by implementing monitoring, alerting, and cost-optimization practices.
