About The Position

The Sr. Compliance Manager - We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated compliance professional with deep experience in ONC Cures Act compliance, healthcare audit and monitoring, and policy development. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in regulatory frameworks, the OIG's Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program and rules and regulations pertinent to healthcare compliance (e.g. ONC 21st Century Cures Act, HIPAA, AKS, FWA, FCA etc.). The role involves leading compliance training and education initiatives, developing and implementing policies, and supporting enterprise-wide regulatory readiness efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance and/or Information Technology or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of ISO and NIST Compliance standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant Compliance Certification or Licensure Preferred including but not limited to: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Any of the Healthcare Compliance Association or International Association of Privacy Professionals certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and audit compliance with Cures information blocking provisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with ONC requirements.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions related to potential Cures violations.
  • Identify and manage relevant technology compliance risk assessments to identify and ongoing manage regulatory requirements in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaboratively manage policy and procedure implementation, monitoring, auditing and other key compliance elements to ensure appropriate regulatory or other reporting requirements are met.
  • Participate or lead the resolution to compliance problems, questions, or complaints received as applicable.
  • Lead regulatory and compliance audits based upon a comprehensive understanding of risks including legal guidance.
  • Develop and implement training programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance and privacy programs.
  • Evaluate and monitor adherence to current policies, procedures and documentation related to regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with compliance documentation and reports based on legal guidance regarding federal, state or other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare audit plans and understand the specific risks to be evaluated.
