About The Position

The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced with, and responsible for, Alliance Management of assigned partners. This role will provide leadership for multi-disciplinary teams throughout the commercialization lifecycle to execute on existing projects and fuel the extension of the partnership strategy. Other duties may include market research, developing business cases & deal proposals, and managing a variety of pipeline projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business or related discipline, Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Strategic business development or alliance management, Product ownership and/or external innovation programs, Engineering or other technical expertise.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to effectively influence and respond to questions from groups of senior managers, and customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties, including Company management and outside business associates.
  • Ability to represent Tandem at professional and business functions in a competent manner.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Sr. Director, Business Development in leading product-related partnering matters and acts as a central point of contact for key initiatives that fit into Tandem's overall strategic vision.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and planning of business integration projects with partners.
  • Interfaces with internal stakeholders at all levels of the business to articulate current status of partnership projects.
  • Works independently to develop, investigate, and evolve into a business agreement negotiation role.
  • Attends industry conferences on behalf of Tandem; stays current on the latest industry trends and technology.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
