The Sr. Manager of Airport Security is responsible for managing day-to-day security operations at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations. This role involves maintaining all aspects of the airport security program, conducting inspections, managing security contracts, and serving as the primary contact for security-related matters with the TSA. The position requires oversight of various security personnel and programs, as well as the development and implementation of training for employees and contractors.

  • Acts as the primary Airport Security Coordinator for the CVG Airport Authority.
  • Performs perimeter, terminal, and grounds inspections to ensure compliance with TSA directives and federal regulations.
  • Reviews and monitors access investigations required under federal regulations.
  • Serves as the primary contact for security-related matters with the TSA.
  • Researches issues and prepares responses to official inquiries from the TSA.
  • Gives directions to various stakeholders to ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Responsible for all contract management activities related to security services.
  • Participates in the design, planning, and testing of response procedures for security-related emergencies.
  • Updates and maintains the CVG Airport Security Program.
  • Reviews criminal history record checks for compliance with federal regulations.
  • Designs and conducts training for employees, tenants, and contractors on security issues.
  • Provides oversight of ID department personnel and budget.
  • Determines access levels for employees and contractors.
  • Provides guidance regarding access and distribution of keys.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five years of related experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
  • Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.
  • Maintain Criminal Justice Information Security (CJIS) clearance.
  • Airport Security Coordinator Certification within six months of start date.
  • Experience with Transportation Security Administration security directives.
  • Knowledge of federal security regulations (49 CFR 1540 and 1542).
  • Familiarity with Airport Security Program requirements.
