Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. operates across multiple business lines, and this position is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the Elevator & Escalator Division (EED). The role provides financial reporting, analysis, and budget control support, and serves as a financial advisor to EED management to help guide strategic and operational decisions. The position also supports project management activities related to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), as well as other internal control and audit requirements to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness. In addition, this position is a part of the Americas Corporate office of Mitsubishi Electric and would be involved in special projects, working with affiliates across North America. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain the EED general ledger and prepare financial reports. Perform monthly analysis of EED P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Perform monthly EED budget control for each line item. Provide recommendations to EED management to improve cost efficiency and performance. Participate in EED inventory management and valuation. Calculate quarterly sales commissions for the EED sales team. Assist EED with the preparation of annual and mid-year business plans. Lead the SAP implementation project for the FI/CO modules, including design, configuration, testing, and development for EED. Support and assist Senior Accounting Manager in ICFR testing, update documentation, and correspond with internal/external auditors. Coordinate and support internal/ICFR audits conducted in Cypress site. Support Internal Audit department in performing ICFR audits at U.S. affiliate companies as assigned. Participate in KPMG audits including preparation of audit schedules Support corporate-wide accounting and finance initiatives. Some business travel required. Perform other functions or special projects as assigned. Education/Experience/Training: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience required. 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience. Advanced proficiency in Excel Experience with construction accounting Experience with ERP systems Detail oriented The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $128,000 and $176,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
