About The Position

We’re hiring a skilled and reliable Roving Property Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations across multiple properties. This role focuses heavily on building upkeep, exterior presentation, preventative maintenance, and timely response to work orders. You’ll ensure that storefronts, common areas, parking lots, and building systems remain safe, clean, code-compliant, and visually appealing for tenants and their customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in retail, commercial building maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades
  • Strong skillset in:
  • Basic plumbing and electrical
  • HVAC filter changes and diagnostics
  • Carpentry, framing, and general repairs
  • Painting (interior/exterior, surface prep, trim, roll/spray applications)
  • Power washing equipment operation, surface protection, and cleaning techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, recommend permanent solutions, and work independently with urgency.
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling between sites
  • Solid communication and customer service skills – daily interaction with tenants and property management
  • Familiarity with work order software – YARDI preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours – some on call emergencies
  • Able to lift up to 40# - some stretching, bending and climbing ladders needed

Nice To Haves

  • Basic level of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience
  • Experience with shopping centers, pad-sites, and mixed-use retail properties
  • Basic knowledge of life-safety, alarms, and sprinkler systems

Responsibilities

  • Travel between properties to perform daily and scheduled maintenance ( MA to NH and Maine)
  • Respond to service tickets and building needs from tenants and management
  • Troubleshoot/repair plumbing fixtures, lighting, electrical components, and HVAC (basic)
  • Perform power washing on building facades, sidewalks, dumpster pads, loading docks, and signage areas to maintain curb appeal
  • Complete interior and exterior painting, surface prep, trim work, bollard repainting, and cosmetic repairs for a polished tenant and customer presentation
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on roofs, mechanical rooms, pumps, gates, doors, and life-safety systems
  • Repair and replace ceiling tiles, drywall, flooring, hardware, locks, and exterior door components
  • Remove debris, address slip hazards, repair storefront damage, and support parking-lot and exterior upkeep
  • Assist with signage mounting, lighting replacements, and exterior branding needs
  • Monitor and document property conditions, deficiencies, and repair recommendations
  • Coordinate with management and vendors on projects and repairs
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety protocols at all times
