Requirements

  • Associate degree & 4 years of Maintenance experience OR High school diploma / GED & 6 years of Maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Knowledgeable of one or more of the following technical areas: Utility Plant Operations/ Maintenance, Process Equipment/ System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/ Maintenance, or Fire System.
  • HVAC/Certification Technician Competencies: HVAC Balancing, Air Handler maintenance & troubleshooting.
  • Thorough understanding of Cleanroom, Fume Hood, Biological Safety Cabinet and Unidirectional Flow Hood systems.
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Operational knowledge of fire control panels (FACP) and ability to perform troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge of miscellaneous equipment (WFI Still, Clean Steam Generator, Purified Production Units, Water Distribution Systems, Water Softeners, Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Neutralization Systems, Emergency Power Systems, and UPS).
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and job blueprints.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written form.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Non-standard Shift (5pm to 5am) Night shift

Responsibilities

  • Execute advanced maintenance activities and operate complex plant support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and system failures.
  • Utilize advanced predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration monitoring, thermography, oil analysis, alignment).
  • Maintain accurate operational logs, work orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and company policies.
  • Develop, revise, and review SOPs, job plans, and work instructions.
  • Support validation activities for mechanical and utility equipment.
  • Assist in optimizing maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret and review P&IDs, HVAC drawings, plumbing, and utility system plans.
  • Support start-up and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory for assigned systems.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to technicians as needed.
  • Assign and coordinate daily work activities in alignment with production schedules.
  • Support on-call response and rotating shift coverage as required.
  • Perform housekeeping activities to maintain clean and safe work areas.
