NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a remote-based position, specifically for the UniKix's H-RDB product. This role is crucial in our Application Modernization practice, which focuses on rehosting and migrating legacy mainframe applications to open platforms such as UNIX, Linux, and Windows. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level skills in mainframe technologies, particularly IMS-DB, relational databases on Linux (DB2, Oracle), and COBOL. The position requires a strong background in product development on Linux, as well as a deep understanding of cloud technologies to facilitate the migration of mainframe systems to the cloud. As a lead developer, the candidate will be responsible for executing the migration of mainframe applications into software equivalent systems, utilizing their extensive knowledge of mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, and files. The role also involves leveraging tools such as Unikix or Microfocus software to devise effective migration solutions. Additionally, the candidate will implement Linux scripting to create migration glues and propose DevOps solutions for the rehosted systems. This position not only demands technical expertise but also the ability to lead projects and mentor others in the transformation of applications using modern technologies and frameworks.
