About The Position

The Sr Machinist position involves operating various advanced CNC machines and assisting with the set-ups of basic CNC machines. The role requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings, and recognize machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect-free parts while meeting production rates. The machinist will accurately perform measurement tasks utilizing measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience setting up basic CNC production equipment.
• Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience operating advanced CNC production equipment.
• Demonstrated competency in the set-up and operation of CNC and manual mills, lathes, EDM, grinders, ECG, and/or mill-turns.
• Ability to adjust tool wear offsets and work (fixture) offsets.
• Basic understanding of mechanical steps required for metal cutting/fabricating operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply shop math.
