This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA; or Atlanta, GA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days. The Applied Machine Learning (AML) group at Redfin works towards redefining real estate in the customer's favor using machine learning. We work on foundational problems in the real estate space including recommendations and price estimation. We have real estate data at a national level and work across various domains in machine learning using large-scale multi-modal property data. AML also owns and maintains end-to-end production-grade large-scale machine learning infrastructure and systems serving hundreds of millions of consumers.

  • Help design and implement how our machine learning model development, training and inference platforms are automated and scalable.
  • Co-create the next generation of machine learning architecture for automated valuation and recommender systems.
  • Dive deep into data to offer critical insights and execute on platform improvements.
  • Assist other engineers in their use of machine learning technologies at Redfin.
  • Build products and tools that drive some of the company's most critical metrics and impact revenue growth.
  • 5+ years of machine learning and software engineering experience.
  • Experience with open-source ML.
  • Experience with Recommender Systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Apache Airflow, AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, SageMaker), Python, and Hive.
  • Experience developing large scale applications backed by relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Scikit-learn, Keras, Pandas, Spark, PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally and take a ML model through inception, research, training, testing, and production.
  • Passion for inventing and applying ML techniques to automate routine Machine Learning tasks.
