We’re actively seeking a talented System Administration Consultant to join our M365 Engineering team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is on-site. You’ll work at our state-of-the-art Newport Beach headquarters As a System Administration Consultant you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by delivering secure, scalable Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio capabilities across the enterprise - building governance, support readiness, and reusable solutions - while also helping maintain and improve core M365 services. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 9 people in the Technology division. Your colleagues will include fellow Microsoft 365 professionals. How you’ll help move us forward: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio solutions to drive business automation, productivity, and AI-powered workflows across the enterprise. Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to identify opportunities for Copilot integration, develop custom Copilot Studio agents, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with Pacific Life’s strategic objectives. Serve as a primary technical resource for Copilot and Copilot Studio, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and support for advanced generative AI features, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices. Monitor Copilot feature releases, roadmap updates, and industry trends to proactively recommend enhancements and ensure Pacific Life remains at the forefront of Microsoft 365 AI innovation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering, Copilot Studio agent development, and integrating generative AI capabilities with core M365 services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into Copilot-powered solutions, including automation of workflows, data analysis, and user adoption strategies.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy, and compliance considerations related to Copilot and generative AI in regulated industries.
  • Architectural proficiency with M365 Hybrid designs and M365 security protection suites
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with various stakeholders both technical and functional
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in solutions using Microsoft platforms with extensive experience in design, architecture, and deployment of messaging solutions
  • 7+ years of experience serving as an SME for Microsoft 365 security, architecture and design including Exchange, SharePoint, MS Teams, Intune, Azure AD, AD Federation, OneDrive, etc. in an enterprise environment
  • 5+ years of experience architecting, deploying, migrating to online M365 services

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio in a large enterprise environment
  • Microsoft and security certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, etc. preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to present high-level design and roadmap to senior leaders and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineers on implementation planning and successful execution of projects
