Job Summary: Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the facilities' water treatment system in reliable operation and in good repair. Performs a variety of routine and preventive general maintenance duties. Performs building repairs and general construction duties. Maintains required records. Assists in the training of team members.

Requirements

  • State-certified licensure as relevant to trade: Required
  • Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Relevant industrial/commercial maintenance experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains water treatment plant testing equipment and ensures accurate calibration.
  • Regularly inspects aerators, pumps, chlorination and chemical treatment systems according to code requirements and good industry practices.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly water testing as required by external agencies.
  • Delivers test results to independent clinical laboratories for further testing and analyses as required.
  • Logs observation and corrects problems.
  • Ensures that state and federal water quality standards are met at all times.
  • Maintains tools and supplies necessary to perform duties.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
