About The Position

A prominent personal injury law firm seeks a prelitigation supervisor paralegal to fill shoes of the incumbent paralegal of 20 years, who leaves in September. This is an in-office position with the core hours of 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. It’s a salaried position with a range of $75,000 - $85,000.

Requirements

Experience as a personal injury paralegal, preferably plaintiff side
Experience supervising paralegals
College degree and/or equivalent supervisory experience in an insurance or legal environment
Professional written & verbal communication skills
Effective leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
Ability to deal with conflict in a professional, objective, and respectful manner
Ability to analyze facts/data, form fair conclusions, make sound recommendations, and exercise good judgment
Organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
Detail oriented while seeing the “big picture”
Automation experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF, and legal software case management systems

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of prelitigation paralegals and a front office receptionist
Oversee and manage weekly demand goals, review team dashboards, evaluate data, and take appropriate action
Oversee the settlement process to ensure all SOP is followed
Provide timely constructive feedback, coaching, recognition, and training
Monitor performance and promptly addresses issues
Monitor time and attendance and process time approval transactions for hours worked and PTO requests
Provide guidance and leadership
Participation in supervisor and team meetings to review events, standard operating procedures, conduct supplemental training, and address team questions.
Ensure ongoing communication between attorneys and case management staff.
Assist in the planning and implementation of programs and procedures to meet business objectives of timeliness, quality, customer service, and legal compliance
