About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our Legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law, providing legal counsel on contracts, compliance, dispute resolution, and risk management related to construction projects.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited university.
Licensed to practice law in the U.S. (Ohio preferred).
6-8 years of experience in construction law, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including design-build, construction management, and general contractor agreements.
Advise on regulatory compliance and permitting requirements.
Manage construction-related disputes, including claims and litigation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
Manage contractor licensing requirement programs to ensure all contractors meet legal and regulatory standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting construction law.
