About The Position

The Sr. Leave of Absence Analyst at BASF is responsible for reviewing and evaluating leave entitlements for both Management Represented and Union employees across the U.S. and Canada. This role involves consulting, analyzing, and recommending actions throughout the leave process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The analyst will utilize strong analytical skills to audit data, collaborate with HR and business leaders, and maintain confidentiality while providing timely service to customers.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of leave of absence experience, multi-state preferred.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel and solid understanding of PowerPoint and other Microsoft applications.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the overlap between federal, state, and local leave entitlements for employees.
  • Resolve problems through consultation, analysis, and recommended actions throughout the leave process.
  • Audit data sets to determine accuracy, identify anomalies, and support predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders on federal and state disability leave laws.
  • Evaluate leave requests and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Prepare flow charts, pivot tables, and leave metrics for presentation using MS Office and computer management systems.
  • Deliver proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills across the business.
  • Ensure prompt and timely service for all customers while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate strong change agility skills in a high matrixed organization.
