The Sr. Learning & Development Specialist at CBRE is responsible for partnering with various business units to identify learning needs and provide tailored solutions through the design, development, and implementation of high-level training programs. This role is integral to the Talent, Learning & Development function, focusing on employee development plans that align with organizational goals.

  • Develops and updates training programs, onboarding programs, and virtual and live instructor-led training courses.
  • Consults with business units and subject matter experts to identify learning and development needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Creates comprehensive evaluation and assessment tools for learning solutions to demonstrate impact and effectiveness.
  • Manages communication and marketing plans for new courses and training updates.
  • Designs and supports the delivery and facilitation of in-person learning & development workshops across the US.
  • Ensures that all new content and learning programs are consistently administered in compliance with governance guidelines through evaluations and reports.
  • Reviews training metrics and feedback to evaluate learning effectiveness that helps drive department goals.
  • Stays up-to-date with learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices to implement them effectively.
  • Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners and learning styles.
  • Develops strong relationships with business partners, operations, managers, consultants, and trainers.
  • Models behavior consistent with CBRE's RISE values and impacts the quality of work for the team.
  • Explains complex information in straightforward terms to others.
  • Solicits feedback from participants, peers, and managers to grow and evolve as a Learning & Development professional.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience delivering and facilitating training in-person and/or virtually.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills to coordinate program efforts.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), such as Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD), and the ADDIE method.
  • Experience with multimedia authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Rise, and/or other emerging technologies to design online content preferred.
  • Experience in project management within a learning and development context.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
