The Learning & Development Specialist at The Toro Company is responsible for managing and facilitating employee development initiatives across the organization. This role involves project management of various learning programs, instructional design, and collaboration with multiple departments to enhance employee skills and engagement.

  • Project manages new and existing learning programs and projects, including planning, marketing, and employee support.
  • Assists in instructional design and course authoring for learning topics.
  • Delivers and facilitates training content using various techniques and strong classroom management skills.
  • Manages vendor relationships for learning consultants, including negotiation and reporting.
  • Assists in annual budgeting and strategic planning for the Learning function.
  • Communicates with HR business partners, legal, IT, and business leaders on learning initiatives.
  • Partners with LMS administrators to identify functionality needs in the LMS.
  • Performs other duties and projects as requested.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (HR, Human Resource Development, Instructional Design).
  • 3-7+ years relevant experience in learning and development.
  • General knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and facilitation techniques.
  • Prior instructional design and facilitation experience.
  • Experience with learning technologies, including virtual delivery platforms and learning management systems.
  • Competitive salary between $70,000 - $85,000.
