As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Technology Kinexys Cloud platform, you are an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will promote significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to address a diverse array of challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Designs, develops, and implements secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions for the Kinexys blockchain SaaS platform across multiple regions.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Builds and maintains foundational cloud capabilities using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Kyverno).
  • Implements robust Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions to support secure, permissioned access for internal and external participants.
  • Designs and manages complex cloud networking architectures to support high-volume, low-latency blockchain transactions.
  • Develops CI/CD pipelines, automates deployment and monitoring, and ensures operational excellence for cloud and blockchain workloads.
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus, including cloud architecture, security, and resiliency.
  • Collaborates with Cybersecurity, IAM, and Public Cloud teams to meet internal and external control, risk, and regulatory requirements (OCC, FRB, FDIC, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, etc.).

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or software development, with a focus on AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools.

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

  • Practical cloud native experience, including containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) with
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (ArgoCD, Terraform Cloud, GitHub Actions, etc.) and observability solutions (Thanos, Grafana, AWS OpenSearch, Fluent Bit).
  • Strong understanding of IAM, cloud networking, and security best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, blockchain, distributed systems)
