In the Chick-fil-A Senior Lead Software Engineer role, you will serve as a multifaceted professional, acting as a problem solver, influencer, mentor, architect, and expert software engineer. This position requires you to leverage your extensive technical experience in software development and infrastructure management to design, develop, and deliver highly engineered, complex technical products. Your primary focus will be on geospatial solutions, particularly as they relate to Chick-fil-A's Esri platforms, applications, and data products. These solutions are crucial for managing current and future locations effectively. You will collaborate with various teams and contribute as a member of the engineering team, but you will not have HR management responsibilities. Instead, your focus will be on the technical aspects of delivering exceptional capabilities. This role also involves leading the transformation of existing processes to make them more scalable, automated, secure, and agile, addressing emerging applications and analytical needs. Chick-fil-A's Flexible Future model allows for a balanced mix of in-person and virtual work, fostering collaboration and community within the company culture. As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will ensure that engineering best practices are applied throughout the development of geospatial products and related solutions, from architecture to DevSecOps and platform support. You will lead the delivery and operations of multiple technical products, balancing individual contributions with collaborative efforts across departments. The expectation is that you will spend approximately half of your time leading and mentoring others while dedicating the other half to hands-on engineering work. Additionally, you will guide the adoption of Chick-fil-A's software and platform engineering standards and influence partnerships with other technology teams to ensure that geospatial solutions are managed according to industry best practices. You will also be responsible for identifying and proposing emerging software engineering technologies and methodologies that can enhance the team's capabilities.
