International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Senior Lead, Back End Developer to oversee the Back End execution and organization of development on all of IJM’s resource technology platforms. This includes web page build outs, online give forms, Experience Cloud, Shopify e-store, Bizzabo, and integrating and maintaining third-party platforms. The role is crucial for executing IJM’s global resource technology strategy and digital campaigns aimed at raising revenue, advocacy, and prayer to end slavery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to simplify complex technology concepts, and driven to produce excellent and timely work that enhances web performance.

  • Lead, manage and reinforce web development governance policies for all regional offices.
  • Lead ongoing technical web optimization projects.
  • Guide regional teams through their back-end web development and ensure adherence to resource technology processes.
  • Develop plans to maintain highly functional technical performance across all owned platforms.
  • Implement back-end web development efficiently and effectively.
  • Optimize web properties within web guidelines across all resource technology platforms.
  • Steward positive relationships with various agencies for all IJM web property needs.
  • Maintain digital standards and policies within the Web Governance.
  • Own the digital development process for all regional offices and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure templates and modules across web properties are up-to-date and correct.
  • Establish and maintain website directory structures within an enterprise content management system.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders on web development timelines and execution.
  • Train staff stakeholders on various resource technology platforms.
  • Utilize various content management systems to translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Implement 'A/B' testing, usability testing, and other testing as needed in collaboration with the digital marketing team.
  • Record and use analytics data to inform strategy and create regular performance analysis reports.
  • Assist in cross-platform digital projects for events, publications, and other key moments.
  • Participate in interviews for new resource technology staff.
  • Engage in resource technology strategy development conversations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years’ experience in web development and coding.
  • 4+ years’ experience with Salesforce suite of products.
  • Previous experience with Craft CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and Google analytics.
  • Knowledge of responsive design, web standards, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to code responsive webpages and emails optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  • Proven understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility issues.
  • Technical competencies in Craft CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Google Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and ampscript.
  • Expert knowledge of image authoring tools, with experience in Adobe Suite being a plus.
