The Opportunity The Sr Java Full Stack Software Engineer works out of office daily in our San Diego, CA location in the Infectious Diseases Group in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people. This role participates in the design, development, and validation of software for embedded systems, ensuring compliance with FDA requirements. They play a crucial role in software design, coding, and validation, addressing moderate scope problems, and participating in software development activities under guidance and mentoring junior engineers. Adherence to FDA-compliant Design Control procedures and proficiency in software implementation are key aspects of the role.
