As a Sr. Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality web applications that integrate multiple systems for federal government projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze user needs, optimize operational efficiency, and implement best-in-class software solutions. This role requires hands-on coding expertise, a deep understanding of Java frameworks, and the ability to manage complex databases. You will contribute to both technical documentation and system design while following industry-standard coding practices.   • Develop and maintain browser-based applications integrating disparate systems for government clients.
  • Write secure Java code in accordance with coding standards and project requirements.
  • Analyze user needs and design software solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support projects.
  • Develop and manage databases individually or as part of a team, ensuring effective data integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, test, and deploy high-quality applications.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; 8+ years professional experience required, or 3+ years with a related Master’s degree.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, ThymeLeaf, HTML5/CSS3, SQL/PLSQL, OpenShift, JBoss, Linux, Eclipse, Git, and Maven.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance. Active Public Trust/MBI preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to secure coding practices and adherence to project-specific standards.
  • Preferred experience with Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and Rational CLM.
