Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java API Lead with 10 + years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in JAVA, AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Angular JS, JavaScript and MySQL. Experience in the Payer domain is mandatory. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required. . Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. Requirements

  • At least 10+ years experience and proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in MongoDB Database
  • Experience in deploying microservices in On-Prem or Azure with Jenkins and GIT.
  • Experience with Kafka messages.
  • Familiarity with ReactJs and integration
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in managing Offshore team
  • Knowledge in Agile Process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyses user requirements.
  • Prioritize, assign, and perform tasks throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Maintenance and enhancement support, by providing technical support for existing applications.
  • Monitoring & optimizing the application performance.
  • Analyzing application logs to troubleshoot the issues.
  • Participate in Architectural & design discussion.
  • Create application based on micro service architecture & converting existing monolithic apps to micro services
  • Participate with upstream & downstream application for integration. Participate with team members and helping them on technical issues.
  • Participate in team meeting with leads during different phases of software lifecycle like requirement gathering, stories grooming, planning, development, testing & deployment.
  • Participate with clients regarding the blockers, challenges & risks.
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies like daily standup call, refinement call, sprint demo, retrospective.
