The HR Information Systems Product Owner - Payroll is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the product vision and strategy for Workday and other HR tools within the Total Rewards and HR functional areas. This position requires a deep understanding of HR technology, particularly in the context of global payroll systems. The Product Owner will work closely with stakeholders and internal technology partners to architect technology solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices. This role is essential in ensuring that the organization’s HR technology solutions are effective, efficient, and secure, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. In this role, the Product Owner will establish project management disciplines and governance processes to support initiatives from project planning through testing and delivery. They will be responsible for maintaining the health of the Workday platform and will work with technical resources to troubleshoot and resolve escalated product issues. The Product Owner will also create and maintain a product and release requirements backlog, negotiating and prioritizing enhancements with global process owners to ensure that the Workday solution meets the strategic vision for operations, risk, controls, and security. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with Payroll and Time & Absence leadership, aligning business priorities and making trade-off decisions across multiple collaborator concerns. They will coordinate and lead testing efforts, focusing on the employee experience and ensuring transparency throughout the process. The Product Owner will act as a conduit between technology and business partners, providing final sign-off for projects and serving as an escalation resource for Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues. This role is critical in driving the success of HR technology initiatives and ensuring a positive end-user experience for all new deployments and ongoing maintenance of Workday and its integrations.
