About The Position

New-Indy Containerboard (NICB) is seeking a Sr. IT & OT Site Administrator, with a keen focus on optimization, IT & OT business relationship, and problem resolution, being responsible for the overall support of the network, infrastructure, and end-user computing technology deployed at NICB for the site. The right candidate for this position can leverage technology to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence within the 24/7/365 manufacturing facility. The Sr. IT & OT Site Administrator leads day-to-day problem resolution within the designated site in alignment with the NICB’s IT & OT Policies & Standards. This includes being the liaison between multiple departments with the site and organization to drive technology initiatives, ensure alignment with business objectives, and boost operational excellence. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should have knowledge of IT & OT platforms and systems, overall manufacturing technology sectors, and is driven to understand all aspects of NICB’s business, in assuring the effectiveness of IT & OT solutions deployed, and in collaborate to the continuous improvement of NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT organization going forward.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in business, IT or similar discipline, or commensurate equivalent work experience in a technology field, minimum of 3 years.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, follow up, documentation preparation and maintenance skills, and customer service orientation are crucial for success in this role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience within, or supporting, a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, networking and system administration.
  • Experience with both IT and OT/Process Control environments.
  • Extensive application support experience with MS Office.
  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL.
  • Experience with system backup and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Reliable and available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Be able to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.
  • Physically able to participate in sessions, presentations, and meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable experience with OSIsoft PI, Majiq Elixir, IBM Maximo, QISOFT.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage your technical skills to resolve tickets and problems escalated within the site.
  • Determine the root cause of problems and eliminate those barriers to success.
  • Work with end users to ensure proper training.
  • Document all systems, SMEs, and system connectivity to ensure support success.
  • Maintain support agreements on pertinent technologies within the site and maintain that support to minimize technological impacts on the business.
  • Work with Enterprise Security to mitigate site specific opportunities.
  • Develop site support SMEs, establish comprehensive training programs.
  • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents.
  • Work with the business process owners to develop and maintain site Business Continuity Plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement at the site through technology innovation and process optimization. Use your experience and the experience you gain from engaging with the site and NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT teams to drive projects and initiatives that provide tangible business value.
  • Help Manage (plan, monitor and control) projects for IT & OT, with a focus on milestones/deadlines, deliverables, budgets, resources, and key stakeholder relationships with Site and NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT Teams guidance.
  • Meet regularly with management and production staff to identify issues and concerns. Identify opportunities and present possible solutions for improved efficiencies with a comprehensive plan including project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, TCO & ROIC with Site and NICB’s Enterprise IT & OT Teams guidance.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
