The Senior IT Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and IT service delivery. This role ensures that technology platforms support operational efficiency, data security, and strategic business objectives. The Senior IT Manager provides strategic leadership across IT operations, enterprise applications, and infrastructure while driving technology initiatives that improve business performance and scalability. This role manages internal IT staff and external technology vendors and plays a key role in aligning technology investments with company strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in management or leadership.
  • Experience leading IT operations, infrastructure, enterprise systems and AI initiatives.
  • Proven experience with ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms, and IT service management.
  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3).
  • Strong IT leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align IT with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity and AI best practices.
  • Experience with IT governance, policies, and service management (ITSM/ITIL).
  • Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project delivery skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategic roadmap, aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership for all IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Identify opportunities for technology to improve productivity, automation (including AI), and data visibility.
  • Partner with executive leadership to recommend technology investments and innovation initiatives.
  • Develop and manage annual IT operating and capital budgets.
  • Oversee the performance, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure, including: 1. Servers 2. Networks 3. Cloud platforms 4. End-user computing 5. Telecommunications
  • Ensure high system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and managed services.
  • Maintain IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Manage and support enterprise systems, including: 1. ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) 2. CRM platforms 3. Data and reporting tools 4. Collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365)
  • Optimize systems to support operational workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with business units to identify system improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Oversee system implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Implement best practices for IT service management (ITSM) and support processes.
  • Monitor service levels and continuously improve IT support performance.
  • Manage and mentor IT staff, including: 1. System administrators 2. Help desk personnel 3. Network engineers
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support professional development and technical training.
  • Lead cross-functional IT projects, including: 1. ERP enhancements 2. Infrastructure upgrades 3. Cloud migrations
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
