About The Position

The Senior Director of IT for the HR portfolio will be the enterprise IT technology owner for our Human Capital Management (HCM) platform within the IT ecosystem. This leader sets the product vision and roadmap, oversees end to‑ ‑end delivery, and ensures the platform enables modern, compliant, and scalable HR capabilities across the globe. The role spans Core HR, Talent, Learning, Absence, Compensation, Payroll & Benefits, Data Governance, and integrations to downstream systems.

Requirements

  • 12–15; or more years leading large‑scale enterprise applications with 8+ years in HR technology leadership; proven ownership of a global HCM platform (preferably Oracle HCM Cloud)
  • Demonstrated success delivering multi‑country HCM deployments (Core HR, Talent, Learning, Absence, Compensation) and large payroll/benefits integrations (ADP, EY)
  • Strong architecture background: API/middleware patterns, integration observability, secure data exchange, role/security design, audit/compliance.
  • Executive stakeholder management, vendor leadership, and budget ownership across CapEx/OpEx.
  • Excellence in change/release governance, incident/problem management, and hyper-care execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with analytics stacks supporting HCM (FDI, OTBI, FAW) and skills based‑ talent ecosystems.
  • Background in retiring HR systems (PeopleSoft) and consolidating to a single HCM source of truth.
  • Prior leadership of geographically distributed teams and complex country localizations.
  • Strategic systems thinking; structured problem solving; outcome b‑ased prioritization
  • Program/portfolio leadership with an operational excellence mindset
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance landscapes (SOX, GDPR, data privacy, labor laws)

Responsibilities

  • IT Platform Strategy & Product Ownership Translate HR transformation objectives into platform outcomes and measurable service metrics. Define and socialize a multi‑year HCM platform strategy, aligned to enterprise goals, HR transformation milestones and business calendars, and regulatory requirements. Maintain an outcome b‑ased roadmap for Core HR, Talent, Learning, Absence, Compensation, Payroll/Benefits, with clear KPIs and value realization plans.
  • Platform Delivery & Run Excellence Orchestrate design, build, test, and release for new capabilities and country rollouts; drive hypercare, SLAs, and continuous improvement. Standardize global processes while enabling necessary localization; ensure strong release/change governance during peak periods (e.g., year‑end payroll, comp cycle).
  • Architecture & Integrations Own the HCM integration fabric (e.g., payroll vendors, identity/employee master to finance/time/CRM), APIs, middleware, and data contracts; enforce patterns for reliability, observability, and resilience. Partner with enterprise architecture on security models, role based access, data privacy, and zero‑ trust principles; steward master‑ data‑ quality across the employee lifecycle.
  • Analytics & Insights Govern HCM reporting assets (FDI and OTBI dashboards), ensuring trusted, self-service analytics for HR, business leaders, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Leadership Serve as primary technology counterpart to HR partners and executives and global process owners; drive executive steerco updates and sponsor alignment. Manage strategic partners and SaaS relationships; negotiate scope/SLAs, oversee escalations, and influence vendor roadmaps.
  • People, Budget & Governance Lead a multi‑disciplinary team (product managers, architects, engineers, analysts, service managers, PMO); develop talent and succession. Own portfolio P&L (OpEx/CapEx), investment cases, benefit tracking, and risk management; enforce audit readiness and compliance.
