About The Position

To manage and maintain all irrigation systems in parks and Parks-managed facilities. This is accomplished by repairing, altering, programming, monitoring and installing irrigation systems. Other duties include troubleshooting problems on irrigation systems; monitoring inventory levels of irrigation supplies and interacting with other City employees and the general public.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of related maintenance work or a demonstrated proficiency in required knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or related certifications or licensures. Preference may be given to experience in municipal parks
• At least one-year experience in irrigation repair, maintenance, and operations.
• Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with a good driving record.
• TCEQ Irrigator's License required.

Nice To Haves

• Preference may be given to experience in municipal parks
