SUMMARY: The Sr. Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, regulatory compliance, and timely material for the repair of civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Serve as subject matter expert for Inventory and material control processes, providing guidance and support to the team. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Accounting, Engineering, and Procurement to resolve inventory discrepancies, documentation issues, and material shortages. Lead and support cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities; analyze root causes of variances and implement corrective actions. Issue, receive, and pull parts in the system. Perform manual inventory adjustments via ERP system. Build kits and tag part outs. Store and maintain orderly parts bins. Conduct regular inventory audits and respond to findings related to inventory and material control. Monitor stock levels to ensure timely reordering and avoid shortages and escalate any issues when necessary. Prioritize parts based on work orders and maintenance schedules. Maintain SDS sheets and hazardous chemical log when needed. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, minimize waste, and streamline operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
