Sr. Inventory Associate Location: West Sacramento, CA, USA - 3775 Seaport Blvd Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm - shift subject to change based on needs of the business. Job Responsibilities: Inventory Control Specialist with DSCSA Compliance Focus This position offers a comprehensive role in inventory management with a special focus on DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) compliance and EPCIS (Electronic Product Code Information Services) traceability. Let me break down the key aspects of this job opportunity: Core Responsibilities: Inventory Control & Accuracy This role involves comprehensive inventory management responsibilities: Conducting regular inventory counts (routine, cycle, and physical inventories) Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies (shortages, overages, misplaced items) Generating and analyzing inventory reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities Executing inventory adjustments and transfers in the management system Monitoring inventory freshness and integrity, including identifying damaged/expired products Assisting with the implementation of new inventory control processes and technologies Training and mentoring junior inventory personnel Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies Participating in continuous improvement initiatives DSCSA Compliance & EPCIS Traceability This specialized area focuses on pharmaceutical supply chain compliance: Managing inbound and outbound DSCSA requirements for product traceability compliance Troubleshooting and resolving issues with missing or incomplete EPCIS data Serving as the escalation point for complex DSCSA compliance issues Communicating updates, risks, and resolution plans to leadership Collaborating with IT and external vendors to resolve data discrepancies Coordinating cross-functional responses between departments (Operations, IT, Inventory, ARCOS, Recall, Clinical Trial, Transportation, & Customer Support) Operational Support & Customer Response Additional operational responsibilities include: Coordinating Freight Collect shipments with proper documentation Managing Shipped Status Items (tracking, troubleshooting, system updates) Maintaining and executing a call list for escalations and customer follow-ups Triaging customer issues related to inventory or shipment status

Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ year(s) of related experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment with some inventory experience or exposure is preferred.
  • Internal employees must have 6 months of experience with McKesson to qualify
  • Good English communication with the ability to communicate effectively with team members (at all levels), customers and vendors - whether in person, in meetings, on the telephone, or through email correspondence.
  • Proficiency at an intermediate level with Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, along with strong data entry abilities
  • Must have accurate mathematical abilities (add, subtract, multiply, etc.)
  • Must be able to safely and effectively operate battery powered MHE Equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Manual Pallet Jack, tugger). Experience is preferred; however, location is willing to train those with no experience.
  • Must be able to maintain certifications.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be quality driven, organized, punctual, committed, self-motivated and have an excellent attendance record
  • Must have the ability to problem solve, time manage, pay close attention to detail, and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to walk up to 10 miles throughout the course of a shift (steps vary per shift)
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds repetitively throughout the course of a shift without assistance; ability to lift greater weights in a team lift (weight varies based on product)
  • Ability to work in refrigerated/cold areas
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems; “SAP” and "Acumax" experience is not required, but would be a great asset
