About The Position

We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Internal Sales Associate to join our Structured Settlements team. As a Sr. Internal Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by developing relationships with consultants, working with external wholesales to drive sales and quoting structured settlement annuities and attorney fee products. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 12 sales professionals in the Consumer Markets Division. Your colleagues will include fellow external and internal sales associates as well as project management professionals. This role is hybrid with in-office presence in Newport Beach, CA (1 day onsite, 4 days remote). Preference for candidate able to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field.
  • Five years’ experience working for an insurance company or in the Structured Settlements industry involved with marketing, quoting, and relationship management.
  • General insurance knowledge, preferably with tax and legal competency as it relates to structured settlement governing laws.
  • Strong relationship-building, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional with strong attention to detail and communication skills that works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to take initiative and approach challenges with resourcefulness.

Nice To Haves

  • Life licensed in resident state.
  • Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation preferred but not required.
  • Positive, personable with a growth mindset.
  • Passion for personal and team growth, with a strong interest in learning and an eagerness to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competitive quotes for structured settlement annuities and attorney fee products.
  • Develop relationships with consultants and work with external wholesalers to drive sales.
  • Review cases for acceptability under tax codes and compliance with Pacific Life guidelines.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through phone calls and electronic communication.
