About The Position

About the Role: The Senior Internal Communications Manager oversees the company's communications functions, leading focused programs, and team functions in close collaboration with divisional leadership to ensure strategic alignment. The manager oversees the communications teams, resources, and projects, managing platforms, systems, content, and delivery from planning to completion. They ensure that communications messaging and delivery align with the company's strategy, creating an engaging experience. Additionally, they are responsible for fostering relationships with stakeholders, initiative owners, and other internal groups to ensure clear communication, representation and consistency in experience and messaging. Lead the teams responsible for internal communications programs and channels. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. About You: 7-10 years working in multiple aspects of organizational communications including experience managing editorial calendars and email newsletters, and intranet content required 3-6 years of experience managing a team, coaching or mentoring preferred Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, English or related field preferred Extensive experience in written and verbal communications. Attention to detail and strong proofreading/editing skills required. Advanced knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, other content management tools. Possess strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills in order to appropriately balance existing workload and allow for new opportunity. Possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate and lead teams effectively in both small and large group settings. Ability to execute multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, fluid and deadline-oriented environment. Demonstrate leadership ability at all levels of an organization and ability to bring people together to collaborate on both short- and long-term projects. Occasional travel may be required The pay range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
