About The Position

The Sr. IT Auditor leads a diverse set of IT audit engagements, including cybersecurity, system implementations, IT operational audits and IT general controls testing. The IT Audit Senior is responsible for key activities such as planning and leading engagements, communicating findings, and driving corrective actions. Additional responsibilities include supporting data analytics, technology initiatives, and process improvements. Masco’s Internal Audit Department continues to be a source of talent for the organization, with a proven track record of placing leaders elsewhere within the Masco Headquarters and our Business Units.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Audit, Risk Management, or IT Security.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or accounting / finance with a concentration in information systems.
  • Applicants should possess an in-depth understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Operational Controls—such as backup procedures and disaster recovery. Candidate should have knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy risks.
  • The applicant takes ownership of assignments, is well-organized, can balance multiple demands, is deadline driven, detail-oriented, creative and flexible.

Nice To Haves

  • CISA, CIA, CISSP, or other IT audit or information security accreditation is strongly encouraged
  • Familiarity with standard cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborates well, is curious, takes initiative, practices continuous improvement behaviors, and can effectively lead an audit engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the IT Audit Manager, the IT Audit Senior is responsible for leading IT audit engagements across multiple domains, including cybersecurity, major system implementations, IT general controls, compliance, and operational audits in line with Masco’s comprehensive audit programs.
  • Develops a risk-based audit engagement plan, presenting scope and budget to department leadership for approval.
  • Leads or supports audit closing conferences and other important client communications.
  • Effectively communicates risk-based findings to management both verbally and in writing. Coordinates and evaluates acceptable management responses for reported issues and follows up to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.
  • Applies judgment in determining audit conclusions and summarizes results for audit reporting.
  • Supports advancement of department data analytics initiatives and seeks ways to use artificial intelligence and other technologies to identify insights and improve audit quality and efficiency.
  • Reviews workpapers, drafts audit reports, supervises work, and addresses/resolves problems.
  • Works together with Masco Enterprise Security to stay current with corporate initiatives and strategic direction.
  • Assists department leaders with process improvement initiatives, advisory engagements, Masco’s enterprise risk management program, and fraud investigations, as needed.
  • Travel obligations range from 10-20%, with potential for international assignments.
