About the role: Alcoa is seeking an experienced claims professional to join our Insurance Risk Management team as a Senior Analyst , specializing in workers’ compensation and enterprise claims management. If you are a proactive problem‑solver with a passion for continuous improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across our global operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in claims management or workers’ compensation
  • Background in insurance/risk management, ideally in manufacturing, energy, or metals
  • Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business , or related field (certifications a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inform stakeholders of claim outcomes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple claims/projects in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills using claims data
  • Experience presenting to leadership and building professional slide decks

Responsibilities

  • Manage Claims: Support end‑to-end handling of first- and third‑party claims, with a focus on workers’ compensation, while partnering with legal, accounting, and plant teams.
  • Workers’ Compensation Expertise: Use internal systems to track, analyze, and improve workers’ compensation processes, ensuring compliance and effective claim resolution.
  • Insurance Program Support: Assist with the collection, organization, and presentation of global insurance renewal information, with a focus on claims data and workers’ compensation exposures.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to address claims and workers’ compensation issues.
  • Risk & Loss Mitigation: Help develop strategies that reduce risk and improve outcomes across claims programs.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain insurance program documentation, including claims records and workers' compensation summaries, ensuring alignment with internal controls.
  • Reporting: Produce clear, data‑driven presentations and reports highlighting claims trends and workers’ compensation performance for leadership.
