Job Summary The Sr. Instructional Designer, Residential Go-to-Market will be responsible for: Facilitating working sessions with leaders, peers, and SMEs to design, build, and stabilize learning initiatives, such as: new product development, evaluation, course maintenance, and process documentation. Socializing and communicating design proposals to partners through solid storytelling and alignment with business strategy – maintaining a facilitative approach, listening for both passive and active feedback and iterating based on that feedback along the way. Approaching instructional design with a focus on human behavior, specifically Design Thinking and neuroscience-based learning methods. Creating inclusive learner experiences, including using global accessibility standards and ensuring that all learners, regardless of identity, feel included and represented in your content. Developing online or print-based learning materials adhering to ULearn internal style and brand guidelines. Planning and executing deliverables, such as: surveys and interviews, conceptual visuals and prototypes, storyboards/video scripts, journey maps/experience narratives, content strategy/design documents, etc. Prioritizing quality assurance across multiple standards of excellence.

  • Education Bachelor's Degree While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage large design efforts, including crafting product vision(s) and milestones, communicating updates, roadblocks, and needs to come in on time and under budget.
  • Schedule, track, and execute updates to learning content based on pre-determined maintenance schedule criteria.
  • Create/reinforce portfolio and product strategy through all assets, aligned to top-line product shelf across business units and for functional area(s).
  • Audit and assess current product shelf health based on current ULearn roadmap, business roadmap, metrics, and skill needs.
  • Propose recommendations to revise current products or to create net-new solutions.
  • Author copy aligned to messaging/source content for internal and external audiences based on pre-determined rubric, ensuring content is accurate and leverages a variety of modalities to keep learners interested.
  • Ability to edit assets from authoring tools including Articulate Storyline/Rise files, Camtasia, WalkMe, and Microsoft 365.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications to support maintenance efforts, for example, collecting feedback from subject matter experts on what needs to change or gathering feedback on updated assets before launch.
  • Curate customized learning experiences in concert with Engagement partner.
  • Keep current in the space of learning and development modalities, instructional design techniques, and project management.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
