About The Position

Oversees Quality Management Activities at all Aircraft Modification Sites, ensuring compliance to contracted and regulatory Quality Standards, by performing the following duties personally or through other personnel. Develops and leads highly competent team that has the analytical, business, and facilitation skills required to challenge the organization and lead it forward, producing measurable and sustainable deliverables that are aligned with attaining business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from accredited college or university or seven years related experience with at least four years in a product-driven environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in an AS9100 certified manufacturing environment required.
  • Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
  • This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive” position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.
  • Experience with Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Expedite resource planning; Inventory and order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Experience and ability to interpret all FAA MIDO and ACO procedures and processes
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiar with the procurement of raw materials/parts/commodities related to VIP aircraft interiors.
  • Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write/compile routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and Coordinates on-site Quality Management leading up to and during the Completion Process.
  • Ensures that Quality management processes are adhered to including FAA regulations, Greenpoint onsite Quality Management requirements and Greenpoint AS9100.
  • Coordinates with the on-site contracted Quality management organization to ensure compliance and Quality standard are being maintained in support of the STC process.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the on-site Installation Managers and supports them with status suitable for their reporting to the Program Management organization
  • Oversees the Installation Conformity Process coordinating and communicating requirements to the Contracted Quality Management organization, Local FAA inspector and Certification Department.
  • Oversees Installation Site FOD compliance to local and FAA regulations.
  • Coordinated parts conformity process when required.
  • Oversees the Quality Assurance Manager by supporting Supplier Quality Surveillance and source inspections.
  • Oversees continual monitoring of protection procedures for product arriving at, or being handled at the mod site.
  • Acts as a representative of the Design Department, by continually reviewing the aesthetics of the Aircraft Completion, consulting with the Design Department and providing feedback to the on-site completion team.
  • Works with the Program Manager to ensure budget and on-time delivery goals are achieved at the Modification (Mod) Center.
  • Confers with internal and customer (Mod Center) quality control, materiel, production, and other department personnel to provide technical support.
  • Facilitate a positive relationship with customers and vendors.
  • Conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate equipment performance and functionality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Continually supports, promotes and models Greenpoint corporate values in everyday business dealings.
  • Conducts 1:1 discussion, annual performance reviews and mid-year reviews and makes recommendations for salary adjustments.
  • Review’s performance of subordinates regularly and conducts formal evaluations when scheduled.
  • Ensures growth and development of organizational units by providing appropriate training, experiential opportunities and identifying employee goals.
  • Partners with leadership on recruiting, hiring, coaching, counseling and terminations.
  • Promotes a “Right First Time” mentality throughout the organization.
  • Provides leadership and clarity to minimize problems or conflicts and provides effective methods in developing team-based solutions for problem resolution.
  • Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
