About The Position

Are you an experienced construction inspector who brings consistency, accountability, and technical judgment to the field? CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Inspector to join our Construction Inspection Team at a client site i n Greenfield, IN . This role is centered in the field, where you will monitor construction activities, document progress, and confirm that workmanship meets project requirements. This is an opportunity to work side‑by‑side with contractors, project teams, and clients—helping ensure infrastructure projects are delivered with accuracy, integrity, and long‑term reliability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of related construction observation experience required
• Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to comprehend construction documents
• Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with project teams and assisting senior team members with complex projects
• Strong communication and mathematics skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel may be required

Nice To Haves

• NICET Level III Highways Construction Inspection certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and approved submittals
• Verify quality of completed work through field measurements, computations, and monitoring of contractor quality control efforts
• Identify nonconforming work and support evaluation of corrective actions to ensure acceptability
• Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and quantities of completed work to support progress payments
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams while maintaining clear reports and accurate project records
