The Sr Inspector A&P position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation involves performing inspections of aircraft and aircraft components, ensuring that all workmanship meets acceptable quality standards. The role requires a thorough review of paperwork to confirm that aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all necessary documentation properly completed and filed. The inspector will work as part of the Quality Control/Assurance team to ensure compliance with FAA/CAA requirements. The position offers multiple shifts, including first, second, and weekend shifts, with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.

  • Perform Quality Control inspections on aircraft/components.
  • Complete inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
  • Keep accurate, neat, and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components.
  • Coordinate throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
  • Ensure aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
  • Mentor technicians on effective documentation.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) including 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience.
  • 2 years of aircraft inspection experience.
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
  • Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics, and QC Procedures.
  • Working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control systems and methodologies.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
