As a member of Bain's Insights Data Science and Operations Research team within Bain's Advanced Analytics Group, you will work with consulting teams and clients on a wide variety of business problems, translating business objectives into data science solutions. You will use advanced data science and operations research methods and tools to generate business insights and recommendations. The role emphasizes working with and learning from Operations Research experts to support a broad range of operations research and optimization modeling applications, including supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, workforce, and spend optimization. You will perform on large data projects, including data requests and ETL in preparation for analyses and modeling, conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), and build out machine learning models that generate business insights or can be used as prototypes to guide business decisions. Additionally, you will build and validate data, simulation, and optimization models that diagnose supply chain problems, identify best or optimal solutions, and advance proficiency in operations research tools and techniques. Sharing learnings and driving the adoption of best practices within the team is also a key aspect of the role. Travel is required (~3 days every other week).
