About The Position

CGI Federal is seeking a Sr. Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a large federal government initiative. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, agile environment where your leadership and expertise will directly impact security posture and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced security controls, lead audits, and drive strategic risk management across hybrid cloud environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional IT experience
• Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI).
• Technical proficiency in: Git source version control
• Technical proficiency in: Azure DevOps
• Technical proficiency in: Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools (e.g., SonarQube, GitLab SAST)
• Technical proficiency in: Unit and integration testing (e.g., xUnit, NUnit)
• Technical proficiency in: Automated and end-to-end testing (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of security controls for on-premises, public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Oversee the preparation of documentation packages for regulatory submissions and internal/external audits.
• Act as a senior liaison for regulatory agency interactions and compliance matters.
• Conduct advanced information security maturity assessments and guide clients in developing strategic security roadmaps.
• Identify, quantify, and mitigate business risks through comprehensive compliance strategies.
• Author and maintain technical documentation to support enterprise-level security initiatives.
