This position assesses risk to the Health System's information security architecture through the engineering, installation, and management of the Vulnerability Assessment System. The role involves participating in the engineering and implementation of network security architecture to support Hyper Converged Infrastructure computing. The individual will support and maintain a broad suite of information security infrastructure and will be accountable for the availability and integrity of security and networking infrastructure components. Additionally, the position requires assessing the Health System's vulnerability to Cybersecurity attacks and managing the inventory of all network devices. The role also includes performing forensic investigations as requested by HR, Legal, Compliance, or the CISO, and participating in the planning, engineering, installation, and maintenance of IT security systems. The individual will work with IT staff and business units to assess risks and address security issues, define security requirements, and review systems to ensure compliance with established standards. Furthermore, the position involves developing strategies to respond to and recover from security breaches, leading incident response activities to minimize impact, and conducting technical and forensic investigations into breaches, reporting findings to the CISO.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Information Sciences, or Business Administration required, or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
  • 7 years of experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering.
  • 7 years of experience with planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • 7 years of experience with risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
  • General experience in communicating network security issues to peers and management.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred within 1 year from date of hire.
  • GIAC Cert Incident Handler preferred.
  • GIAC Penetration Tester preferred.
  • GIAC Cert Forensic Examiner preferred.
