About The Position

Siemens Energy in Tampa is looking for an Industrial Engineer in the field Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement to join our Blades and Vanes Division! This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, elevating product quality, and spearheading innovative practices. You will support an enthusiastic team and work collaboratively across different departments to pinpoint improvement opportunities, apply industry-best practices, and nurture a culture of continuous enhancement, using your deep knowledge in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies combining with Digitalization solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally in 'make/engineer to order manufacturing,' with a strong track record in leading and supporting Lean projects.
  • Expertise in time management (REFA, MTM), time recordings, and material flow, along with professional experience in production planning, industrial engineering, or work planning.
  • Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, excellent spatial visualization skills, and sophisticated knowledge of ERP/MES systems.
  • In-depth understanding of Lean methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and TPM, as well as Six Sigma techniques such as statistical analysis, experimental design, and control charts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a data-driven decision-making approach, cost awareness in manufacturing components, and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders at all levels, and build strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Proven success in implementing Lean and Six Sigma transformations and driving continuous improvement programs in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Determining manufacturing times and evaluating production processes using established time measurement methodologies.
  • Identifying improvement potentials during time studies.
  • Support in the creation of work plans and work instructions for manufacturing as well as production design.
  • Ownership of router accuracy and updates.
  • Creation of planning time modules for planning and calculations.
  • Support in implementing the Lean concept, including value stream analyses, tact and cycle time analyses.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations to demonstrate project progress and results.
