About The Position

This position is on-site and supports both the Racine and Milwaukee manufacturing operations. The Sr. HRBP works closely with and acts as a liaison with functional leaders in the Company as well as interacting with employees throughout the organization. The Sr. HRBP in the near term will be tasked with updating HR policies, processes and procedures to accommodate significant company growth both organically and via acquisition. There will also be a focus on daily operational needs where HR supports all business functions in the areas of: payroll, training and development, employment, employee benefits, wage and salary administration, safety and employee services. Throughout all areas of responsibility there will be a strong need for long-term strategic thinking to position HR to be a true business partner to the MPE Leadership and Operations Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related business degree.
  • 8-10 years related human resources generalist experience, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two to five years in a leadership role.
  • Current ADP or similar HRIS proficiency.
  • Experience in a multi-site, multi-shift manufacturing environment.
  • Current driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and delegate staffing activities across the HR Team including recruitment, selection, interviewing, and hiring for all positions.
  • In concert with the HR Team, develop and maintain personnel policies and procedures that comply with State and Federal laws and are consistent with corporate philosophy and be able scale as needed for company growth projections.
  • Monitor management and employees' compliance with these policies.
  • Keep up to date on government regulations affecting company policies and human resource practices.
  • Implement changes and develop policies to comply with these changes.
  • Research and recommend Talent Development programs for each functional area with a focus on building an internal talent pipeline to support future growth.
  • Determine timing and budgets for training.
  • Develop and monitor various metrics and analytics used to evaluate effectiveness of various HR programs and activities, including the cost of turnover.
  • Maintain necessary personnel documentation for employee files to include wages, overtime, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Coordinate a firm schedule for performance reviews for all MPE personnel.
  • Ensure that company compensation program is competitive in the marketplace and consistent with the Company’s compensation philosophy.
  • Develop and maintain employee training programs and records.
  • Work with managers to develop current talent for future needs and career progression.
