About The Position

A key member of the HR Operations team, the Senior Analyst, HR Systems serves as a technical subject-matter expert supporting the development, configuration, security, and ongoing maintenance of Pep Boys’ HR systems. This role partners with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to support system enhancements, reporting needs, and process improvements to ensure solutions are effective, efficient, and aligned with company policies. The Senior Analyst supports the specification, testing, and implementation of new or redesigned process flows and assists with system integrations across internal and external applications. In addition, this role acts as a primary resource for HR reporting and analytics, delivering workforce data and insights across the organization. The incumbent leverages HRIS vendor tools as well as technical skills such as SQL and VBA to automate processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve data accuracy. The role also supports system upgrades, releases, and ongoing optimization efforts.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience of progressive experience supporting HRIS, HR systems, or HR analytics functions.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting HR systems (e.g., Core HR, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Acquisition).
  • Experience with system integrations and data interfaces between HR and other enterprise systems.
  • Experience developing reporting, and analytics, including dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, testing cycles (UAT), and implementations.                     
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, VBA, or similar technical tools strongly preferred.
  • High level of understanding of the HR System concepts from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate user needs into the desired outcomes.
  • Experience with system integrations and data interfaces between HR and other enterprise systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across HR, IT, Finance, and other business functions and partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday and Prism Analytics preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize Human Resources Information Systems, including modules such as Compensation, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and Core HR, ensuring system alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining data consistency and integrity.
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions to support HR and business objectives, providing accurate and actionable insights.
  • Support data transfers and integrations by collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure integrations function effectively and efficiently.
  • Partner with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve current processes, drive efficiencies, and leverage technology solutions (which may include systems outside of the HR Systems ecosystems). 
  • Participate and execute system testing activities, including upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal controls.
  • Ensure continuous learning, maintain system documentation and support knowledge sharing by participating in training sessions, webinars, and professional development to remain current on HR systems best practices.
  • Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for HR systems inquiries.
