About The Position

About the Role: The Fermilab Human Resources Division is seeking a Sr. HRIS Analyst to lead in the development, implementation and operation of procedures, practices, and policies for the Human Capital Management (HCM) system and all related systems at it pertains to the Human Resources data and employee recordkeeping. The individual will provide moderately complex technical support for the report writing business process configuration and security. They will support all phases of HCM project life cycle including defining business requirements, analysis, design, development, configuration, continuous improvements, implementation, testing and deployment of solutions, as well as documentation and end-user training. What your day-to-day as the Sr. HRIS Analyst at Fermilab will look like:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field minimum 5 years of experience or an equivalent of 8 years of technical experience administering cloud- based enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure, test and operate enterprise cloud-based HR systems
  • Specific knowledge of enterprise systems that integrate with HR systems.
  • Proven ability to participate and lead teams for various HR system implementations and enhancements.
  • Proficiency in Workday Core Human Capital Management (HCM), Recruiting, Learning, Report Writing; Workday Studio preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical and functional subject matter expert for HCM HR modules and business processes and other HR systems/tools
  • Collaborating with IT Solutions team to configure HCM, evaluate and test new functionality and resolve technical problems.
  • Analyzing HR processes in partnership with HR subject matter experts and internal customers to design, support and execute business process implementation.
  • Ensuring a clear understanding of the overall business requirements; assist with prioritizing requests, confirm requirements, and make recommendations to enhance processes using best practice solutions and innovative technology.
  • Implementing Lab-wide/DOE reporting requirements utilizing HCM reporting tools, develop ad hoc reports and update delivered reports to meet Laboratory and end user needs.
  • Leading HR team in testing, validating and documenting solutions at each system or business process update.
  • Ensuring data integrity within HCM and down-line systems in collaboration with Employee Records function for collection and maintenance of employee related data to enable effective administration of employee records and other dependent administrative processes.
  • Assure compliance with all State and Federal legislation and DOE orders.
  • Being a key contributor to HCM Program Planning to communicate requirements, project status and issues and to implement HRIS strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partnering with HR subject matter experts to produce business process documentation and end-user training.
  • Utilizing service desk system to monitor, assign and resolve HCM incidents and enhancement requests related to HR functions.
